Commentary

Sometimes the mind assumes that fulfillment is hiding somewhere in the future, in a better version of ourselves, a better plan, or a better life. Meanwhile, the beauty, richness, and aliveness of the present moment can become almost invisible. The Flower Capybara doesn’t argue or teach. It simply notices what’s already there.

The cure for dissatisfaction may already be surrounding them, but the Squirrel immediately converts the feeling into a massive improvement project.

Question: What am I overlooking right now while I’m busy trying to improve everything?
