The Living Room Spin Cycle
Look! Squirrel! - The Living Room Spin Cycle

Commentary

When the mind becomes restless, it often responds by trying to manage the restlessness. The result is a loop where thinking tries to solve thinking, creating even more spinning instead of stillness. This fits the Squirrel’s sincere belief that more preparation will solve the problem, while the Flower Capybara notices something deeper.

The Squirrel’s solution is literally another giant circle. The Flower Capybara gently shifts attention away from the spinning thoughts without arguing with them.

Question: When I feel unsettled, what do I keep doing that only seems to keep the wheel turning?
